Caleb Ballantine is a New York City based company member
currently with Umami Playground, Alessandra Corona Performing Works, and The Barnhill Movement Collective. Caleb strives to use movement as a tool to advocate for social justice and raise awareness of the issues we face in our world.
Caleb completed his Dance and Anthropology degree at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He has extensive training across diverse movement styles, including Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Breaking, Ballet, Salsa, Tango, and Afro Caribbean dance. His training includes time at the American Dance Festival at Duke University, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in the Berkshires, and Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago and experience as a company dancer freelance artist in NYC.
Caleb has worked with renowned artists including Robert Battle, Michelle N. Gibson, Maria Torres, Shakia Barron, Moncell Durden, and Paul Dennis. His time living in Medellin, Colombia, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, further deepened his understanding of dance as a cultural and social connector.
Through dance, he fosters community rooted in joy, positivity, and connection!
